Unique partnership wins at Rail Business Awards 2021
DB Cargo UK’s innovative partnership with Maritime Intermodal yesterday won the Rail Freight and Logistics Excellence Award at the 2021 Rail Business Awards.
The judges said the ground-breaking alliance between two of the UK’s leading road and rail operators had successfully harnessed the strengths of both parties and continued to go from strength to strength.
Since the partnership was launched, the number of intermodal services DB Cargo UK provides for Maritime Intermodal has doubled, with the latest addition being a new service from London Gateway to Maritime’s new multi-million pound terminal at East Midlands Gateway.
DB Cargo UK’s Chief Executive Andrea Rossi said: “I would like to thank everyone at Maritime and DB Cargo UK for their hard work in making this partnership a success and look forward to seeing our relationship prosper in the future as we continue to deliver sustainable services to our customers.”
